Hi if you are useing a Railpass there will be the point that a train needs a Reservation 🙂 Many of you ask where to get a reservation for a specific train.First of all there are 2kinds :)Supplements like the Intercity Direct in Netherlands or the German/Austrian - Italian Supplement on Eurocity & Railjets that have to be paid and doesnt include a seat :/.And Seatreservations like the TGV,Eurostar or Thalys that include in the supplement fee even a seat reservation. There are several ways reserve a seat :)A. on the Website of the Traincompany that operate the train.B. at the trainstation (On major stations you have “International ticket desks” they often can reserve even trains in a different country for example you can reserve your TGV from Munich to Paris already in Prague 🙂 )C. Hello! I'd like make reservations for my friends with mobile Pass (InterRail Global Pass) for trains in Italy. I added them to trip in my account, but I can't find Issuer (CIV) and Pass Cover Number on their tickets. Without them I can't make reservations. Where can I find them? Or how can I make reservations with mobile Pass? Moderator note: similar topic
Hi there,I´m planning a multistop trip from Spain to Germany. I´ve already bought a Pass, and could make all reservations except for one, from Hendaye to Paris with a TGV. For that connection I find: “ No price results were found for this connection. Please try searching again or find an alternative way to book”. The problem is, I cannot find any other alternative way to book the reservation, at least not a reasonable. I called today to SNCF, and they explicitely told me, it is not possible to buy seat reservations online, and also not at the phone. They said I must come to a french train station… which I can´t really believe…I won´t be in france until exactly the day of beginning my journey, and the missing seat reservation is for the first train I would need…. so it would be really risky to wait until minutes before departure to go in person to the service at the station and ask for buying the seat reservation. That is really risky. If that doesn´t work, I lost the following connecti

I am planning a trip to Europe and would like to see a couple different countries so I am considering the Eurail. It is clear that the Eurail pass will allow be to travel between large cities and counties, but I cannot find any information on trains/busses within cities. So, does the Eurail pass also include any trains/busses within specific cities (for example Rome or Florence)? Or is it EXCLUSIVELY for travel BETWEEN cities and countries?Thank you for any information you can provide!
Hello, we are actually in a train from Frankfurt to Berlin, without reservation needed but the controller asked us a ticket with a QR code to scan it. But we thought that the QR code was only for train with reservation ! So we went on the rail planner but we didn’t find any QR code, and the controler start to ask us to pay 100€, until I checked a second time on the rail planner and we finally find the QR code who appeared few minutes after. It’s that a bug of interrail ? Or do we have to print all the tickets with the QR code even with trains without reservation ?

Hello,Last week i started my interrail trip from Vienna - city of residence - to Stuttgart. I was using one of my inbounds/outbounds and everything was fine so far. Today I tried to book my trains to France and realized that the country of residence, mentioned on my pass is Germany - maybe cause I have German id, but just living here for summer -. Is there any chance to change the county of residence after already activating the pass? Would be really helpful cause I planned Germany as the spot where I will start all my travels.thanks
On Sunday 10.07.2022 there is a strike of local trains in Italy (Regionale, Regionale Veloce and Regio Express)Trenord in Lombardy region (Milan) (trains to Arona Air Show will run regularly) Trenitalia TPER in Emilia Romagna (Bologna) and this trains will run with an replacement bus instead. Trenitalia Tuscany (Firenze)Long distance trains like Frecciarossa or IC will run regularly.Check Trenitalia App if trains will run or the website viaggiatreno.it on Sunday before traveling. Last time a few weeks ago in this 3 regions, almost all trains got cancelled due to strikes.

Hi, I have been in contact with the support but to no success. Me and my friends have individual mobilepasses since we will be doing most of the tip together. When I want to add them to the trip and make reservations I need the pass cover number and the issuer. We bought our mobilepasses though this website and the support and other threads have said the same, that you don’t need those just the email. But, the website will not let me make reservations or add the travellers without issuer and pass cover number. We have all contacted the support a few days ago to get our pass cover numbers. How do I do this step by step if I do not need my pass cover number or issuer, like I am supposedly able to?Just FYI, I did click “I purchased my pass on interrail.eu” and followed the septs sent to me by the support.Hope to get some answers soon.
Hi Interrailers! I have a question about two seat reservations between Lyon-Barcelona and Barcelona-Valencia - I can see that other travellers had similar problems with seat reservations on these routes.I called RENFE (Spanish Train Operator) and they told me that it is not possible to make seat reservations for these trains online (wtf) and that you HAVE to reserve seats at a physical train station. That is problematic because I have a 6 hour train ride beforehand from Zürich to Lyon, and it would be stupid to show up in Lyon if the train is fully booked - and again stupid to show up in Barcelona later that day if that is fully booked(: Do you know a way around to reserve online? Or do you know if I can reserve seats from an Austrian train station? Or if my friend in Spain can make the seat reservation for me and then send me the reservation with email?Stay safe! Allan
Can I reserve seats together for travelers who have both eurail and interrail mobile passes? Scenario:I am having issues when entering the pass cover number for the interrail traveler on traveler details (I am using order number which does not work). How do I obtain the pass cover number for the interrail mobile pass? I have seen several posts with this same issue but no good answer !Thanks.
Hello guys ! My name is Vasileios, I am 24 years old from Patras, Greece, and I am planning to go on an Interrail Trip on 7 countries with my girlfriend on September 2021. I would like to hear your predictions. Do you think it will be possible, provided that from 1st July a European vaccination pass will be available (we are both vaccined)? Has anyone interrailed during these covid times? Thank you for your time and congratulation on the beautiful idea of this forum !
I'm trying to make a seat reservation for the TGV 6035 from Paris Gare de Lyon to Montpellier Saint-Roch at 15:12-18:41 on 22/05. The Eurail website says that prices are unavailable for this train. If I try to book through travel.b-europe.com instead, there are still some available seats. However, in order to book my seat, the website requests a Pass Cover number in the "Ticket Details" section. Since I have a mobile Eurail pass, I do not have a Pass Cover number and am unable to complete the reservation. How can I receive a Pass Cover Number? Is there an alternative way to book a seat on this train?
Hi everyone !I tried to book seat reservation on the interrail.eu website. So i went on the dedicated internet page and it asked me to log in. I'm new to interrail and have two questions that I can't find an answer to so please help ;-)) Can the inbound / outbound journey be at any time of my interrail? so say I go to Italy by car and then start from there and then at some point in the middle, say day 5, I travel into my home country (Germany) and then have the outbound on day 6? and at the end of my interrail I would just go back to Germany by car again. When I go from Italy to lets say the Netherland I would need to change trains in Germany to get there. Does that count as travelling in my own country or is that irrelevant because my home country wouldn't be my final destination? Hope I made myself kind of clear and am thankful for any advice. Greta
