Please read first and if you still have questions start a own topic to keep this post as Informationpost as clean as possible. This post is made by @rvdborgt @AnnaB@runner.on.rails @Angelo and myself. Planning/Timetables:Many of you will notice that the Railplanner of Eurail will have sometimes different times of the trains as other Websites/Apps. Or evenworse the railplanner wont show any train for your desired Route. The Railplanner of Eurail only shows the timetables that are shared by the Railcompanies unfortunately not all Railcompanies share these and even update it not frequently. The Result is that the Railplanner of Eurail is not always uptodate and because ofthat I and other experienced travelers recommend to use the Local Websites and Apps to check the times and even book the reservations with them (when possible).Below here finally the main words :D Hi if you are useing a Railpass there will be the point that a train needs a Reservation 🙂 Many of you ask where to get a r
I am planning a trip to Europe and would like to see a couple different countries so I am considering the Eurail. It is clear that the Eurail pass will allow be to travel between large cities and counties, but I cannot find any information on trains/busses within cities. So, does the Eurail pass also include any trains/busses within specific cities (for example Rome or Florence)? Or is it EXCLUSIVELY for travel BETWEEN cities and countries?Thank you for any information you can provide!
Hi there,I´m planning a multistop trip from Spain to Germany. I´ve already bought a Pass, and could make all reservations except for one, from Hendaye to Paris with a TGV. For that connection I find: “ No price results were found for this connection. Please try searching again or find an alternative way to book”. The problem is, I cannot find any other alternative way to book the reservation, at least not a reasonable. I called today to SNCF, and they explicitely told me, it is not possible to buy seat reservations online, and also not at the phone. They said I must come to a french train station… which I can´t really believe…I won´t be in france until exactly the day of beginning my journey, and the missing seat reservation is for the first train I would need…. so it would be really risky to wait until minutes before departure to go in person to the service at the station and ask for buying the seat reservation. That is really risky. If that doesn´t work, I lost the following connecti
Hi. I searched for journeys in Spain and it doesn’t leave me book seat reservations on them. Then when I click to see the option of more information it says that I can book them on the main station on Spain. And what about if I try to book them there and there is no more space in the train?
Hello! I'd like make reservations for my friends with mobile Pass (InterRail Global Pass) for trains in Italy. I added them to trip in my account, but I can't find Issuer (CIV) and Pass Cover Number on their tickets. Without them I can't make reservations. Where can I find them? Or how can I make reservations with mobile Pass? Moderator note: similar topic

Hello.I’m trying to reserve a seat on Trenitalia but I don’t know where to enter a code or something to apply the discount for having the global Pass. In another post I read that Trenitalia don´t make reservations anymore, but where to do it so, I don’t want to book it in the eurail website for the extra fee. Thanks for your time.

Hi! I am traveling using a global Eurail pass this summer for France, Italy, and Spain. I have a mobile pass and have paid for seat reservations on trains from Bordeaux to Paris and Florence to Rome. In the emails for our bookings they say we need to print out copies of our tickets, even though we have the mobile pass. Why is this the case and what will actually be needed when we board the train? The email says this: “Remember, you’ll need physical copies of your reservations to show the conductor on board the train, along with your eurail Pass. Showing this email won’t be enough, so make sure you keep your print-outs somewhere safe.” I just don’t understand why we’d need paper copies if we already have a mobile pass??? We’re also trying to find trains from Paris to Barcelona but now realize you must have a paper pass that is mailed. How realistic is it that we could book a train a few days in advance from Paris to Barcelona at a station in Spain in person when we get there?
Very confused… on this page: https://www.eurail.com/en/help/interested-in-eurailing/do-i-need-a-eurail-or-an-interrail-pass it says “A Eurail Pass can only be used by non-European citizens or non-European residents. European citizens can use an Interrail Pass instead, available from Interrail.eu for the same price as a Eurail Pass.”But on https://www.myinterrail.co.uk/interrail-passes/ - it’s all about Interrail passes for UK people? Thanks in advance!
Hello, we are actually in a train from Frankfurt to Berlin, without reservation needed but the controller asked us a ticket with a QR code to scan it. But we thought that the QR code was only for train with reservation ! So we went on the rail planner but we didn’t find any QR code, and the controler start to ask us to pay 100€, until I checked a second time on the rail planner and we finally find the QR code who appeared few minutes after. It’s that a bug of interrail ? Or do we have to print all the tickets with the QR code even with trains without reservation ?
Hello,I have read through a few questions here and couldn’t find a clear answer.I came across this on the interrail.eu site:The Self-Service lets you book e-ticket reservations up to 3 hours before its departure. You'll receive an e-ticket which we recommend you print at home. They recommend to print the e-ticket reservations. Now I am wondering if its okay to not print it and if I can use the e-ticket? Has anyone ever struggled with an e-ticket?

Since the eurail reservation has not been working for the past two days, I’m trying to book seat reservations through italiarail.com. There, I found a help article (https://www.italiarail.com/pages/italia-rail-reservations-and-supplements) with these instructions:Reservations can be made directly at a train station or by using the City to City search tool on our website. For seat reservation booking choose "I have a railpass".The trouble is, I don’t see that option anywhere when I try to book one. Does anyone know how to do so?
