Hi there - I’ve got a number of questions about the 3 month pass that’s currently on promotion - I’ve asked customer support a couple of days ago and haven’t had any response and can’t seem to find exact answers to a lot of the below - hope the community can help answer some of these questions! Pls feel free to answer individual questions if easier - however I’ll list them all in one place.Many thanks in advance!Questions: 1. As a family of 2 adults and 2 children under 12 based in U.K. - if we bought a 3 month continuous pass on the promotion ( ie. for the equivalent of 1 full price Adult ticket) - does this mean we can travel on the Eurostar as many times as we like during the 3months? And as long as there are available tickets on the Eurostar website - does that mean tickets are available for the Global pass too (or are there restricted numbers of tickets like frequent flyer tickets on planes)eg. we could do Lon-Paris, Lon-Amsterdam, Lon Brussels on 3 consecutive weekends? 2. Hi Community,due to the pandemic, trains between Norway and Sweden are not operating, at least not on the days I need. Instead, the VY company offers busses between Oslo and Goteborg respectively Karlstad. Is the Interrail pass valid for these busses? The answer is relevant for me, since this decides how much travel days I need. I am grateful for every answer!
I'm taking a night train home. How to avoid the app is selecting not only inbound but also the outbound journey?
Hi everyone,I’m planning my first trip with an Interrail Global Ticket and I need some advice.My country of residence is Germany. I’d like to travel back with an over night train from Rome, which ends in Munich, but I have to switch trains then to get back home.I thought I can just use 2 travel days for this on my pass, but the app doesn’t allow me to select the the journeys because I “already used my outbound travel”. I have enough travel days left, but unfortunately I have to switch trains after midnight. Do I have to purchase another ticket to get home?Thanks for your help.
I am a resident of the UK and have a UK passport. This should mean that I buy a Eurail, not an Interrail pass. The purchase is going fine until I come to the ‘Eurail Global Pass Adult traveler’ details. You have to submit a country of residence. But ‘United Kingdom’ is not available. Neither is ‘Great Britaiin’ or ‘GB’ or whatever we are calling ourselves today. What is going on? Am I missing something?
Hallo,ich wollte eine Reservierung für den Frecciarossa von Rom nach Florenz vornehmen. Leider wird mir für sämtlche Verbindungen “nicht verfügbar” angezeigt. Auf der Seite von Trenitalia sehe ich, dass sehr wohl noch Plätze frei sind, allerdings kann ich ja hier nicht den Interrail Global Pass als Rabatt eingeben und nur die Reservierung buchen. Warum geht das über die Interrail-Seite nicht, was mache ich falsch?
I have purchased and activated a 3 day in 1 month Poland Mobile Interrail Pass in first class. The activation process went smoothly. I added my 1st travel day and selected the itinerary. I was able to display the barcoded ticket. With this I obtained my reservations for my journey to Gdańsk from Warsaw.The next day on the morning of travel the pass had disappeared from the app. It was prompting me to add a pass (which of course I already had without issue). The only way to have the pass reappear was to delete and reinstall the app. The pass is now showing but it will not let me add any journeys and will not display a barcoded ticket for the pass. I am furious. There is no support and no advice from Eurrail whatsoever. Reading the terms and conditions they try and wash their hands of ANY problems with the app. Basically you are on your own subject to being fined by the train operator because you cannot provide a valid ticket because the app is faulty and useless. Hello, My first question would be, if I buy the 15 day over 2 months, are the 2 months calendar months or are they 30 days?The second one is, as I have been cheking, there is some issues with QR codes sometimes, if ever need, can I ask for the Paper Pass for the train day at the station, does it have an extra fee?
I am trying to add a journey to my trip in France (called Nomad train). I dont need a reservation.The app doesn't put the trains that usually travel between the 2 cities I wanna travel. There is no solution to take another train to come home.On the France app Oui sncf, we can still buy tickets between those 2 cities and I ALREADY USED interrail for this same train between the 2 cities 2 months ago.How can I do to add this journey when it doesnt exist in the app?Moderator note: correction to information above; as checked with SNCF you do need a reservation for this train.
Hello! I’m studying abroad at in England this year and have a student visa residency card. By the time I’m looking to travel (March-April) I’ll have been here for 6 months. Should I buy a Interrail or a Eurail pass? I know that to buy Eurail you have to be outside of Europe, which I will not be, but my passport is American. Thanks for the help!
Dear Community, I’m about to leave on my trip to Italy and just wanted to ask (and/or confirm) a few things to ensure my understanding of this process is correct. I have read some of the other posts related to mine, but just wanted to double check. On the Rail Planner app, I tried to look at train times for 9 September (Thursday) at 9 pm, but when the results show up, it gives me 8 September (Wednesday)….?? Why is that? Does this have to do with the time difference between Italy and California (where I currently am)?  Is it only possible to book reservations via Eurail.com website or the Rail Planner app? Is it possible to book reservations in person at the train stations? (e.g. when I fly into Fiumicino Aeroporto I won’t necessarily know how long immigration and customs will take, so it would be hard to anticipate which train I’ll be able to board). Would train station personnel accept the Eurail Pass on my Rail Planner app?  Does the TrenItalia app communicate at all w
My App is completely stuffing up!!! Firstly, I am unable to view all my Saved Journey’s in My Trip. Sometimes I will save a journey, and then when I go to view it, it is not there!!Secondly, when I try to book a journey and add it to My Pass, it will add it initially, then later when I check it has completely disappeared!! I am using a Flexi Pass, and it is almost impossible to add 2 journeys to one travel day, as either one of the journey’s always keeps disappearing. This is very very frustrating as I don’t have a valid ticket for the trains I need to catch TOMORROW!!!! I need help ASAP, I will be unable to travel tomorrow if this is not fixed URGENTLY.
I started travelling today with the interrail mobile app. Although I managed to get it all up and running for the first two legs of the trip, I am having critical issues with the app right now. The problem is that the rail planner does not work anymore: each time I select a departure or destination, the planner resets again so it is impossible to add a new leg to my trip. The FAQ states that it is also possible to add journeys manually, but this option seems to be missing in the app I have (version 19.0.0 om android 10). So in essence it is downright impossible to add any journeys to my pass and thus to get a valid ticket, so I cannot travel any further. How can this be fixed?I also contacted the support via email, but they say they will only answer within 7 days, which I think is pretty long if you are stranded with an app that is not working.
Hello, I’m trying to reserve seats on the Barcelona-Sants to Paris leg of my Madrid-Paris trip (I know for the first leg I have to reserve seats in person at a Spanish station). On the Eurail website I try to use the reservation service, but it says the departure date is too close for the paper reservation tickets to be delivered to me at my home. It also says it’s too close to departure for the tickets to be delivered to my hotel in Madrid. Unfortunately, I am not yet in Madrid to reserve the tickets in person, nor will I arrive until the night before departure. What options are available other than testing my luck at 5pm at the Madrid train station before a 10am departure the next day? It makes me nervous since the website says TGV limits eurail pass holders per train. I want to make sure we’re able to get to our destination. Any advice?
Hi, I’m a first time user and am having problems with the mobile app.I add the first three trains to ‘My Trip’.They appear as a list - so far so good.However if I close the app and come back to it later -When I press ‘My Trip’ only one of the previously entered trains appears.Press ‘My Trip’ again and a different random train from the previously entered trains appears.I can’t get the whole list to appear.This has a knock on effect when I try adding the trains to ‘My Pass’Only one random train appears on the ticket!Has anyone else had this problem - am I doing something wrong?Using iPhone X, software 15.4, Interrail app version 23.0.0Many thanks
I am having a terrible time trying to contact customer service. No telephone numbers or email address, no response on twitter or chat… :( I just booked interrail tickets for my family yesterday and chose mobile passes as I thought it would be easier and we don’t have much time for them to be posted, but didn’t realise that the passes can’t be moved from devices. During the two months my husband and I will be travelling separately with our children at different points so we have a problem. I need to see if I can switch to paper passes but we leave next week so it is now quite urgent, hence why I am getting frustrated at the inability to reach any sort of customer service. Does anyone know an email address or telephone number that works? Thank you! And happy travels!
Hello together,we got a few general questions regarding the reservation-booking. We used the reservation booking tool from interrail but it shows us following message for bookings in denmark:“No results were found for this connection. Please try again or find an alternative booking method.”. If I click on the alternative booking method, there’s either a callcenter provided or it says I have to book it at the trainstation. Is any trainstation meant or the trainstation in denmark where we want to take the train from? Is the callcenter also working for every country or only for switzerland, because there’s written that its especially for switzerland. Is it also working if we just book/buy the reservations short time before the departure or do we have the risk that there’s no space left? Hey guys, this year I want to travel through Portugal and Spain. I noticed it would be much cheaper to buy every ticket directly at the railway operations (260€ vs. 100€) 1. Do the train tickets always cost the same in Portugal/Spain in view of the time of purchase and the season?2. When are the tickets available for September? At the moment you can only buy tickets for February. 3. Why should I buy an interrail ticket instead of buying the train tickets separately? Thank you in advance. Regards, Carlos
Hallo, Ich bin noch vor der Reise, und hatte gerne gewusst, wie sollte man vorgehen wenn der Anschluss auf reservierte Zug nicht geklappt hat. Kann ich direkt nächste Zug nehmen? Online Sitzplatz ist nicht mehr buchbar (3std Regel) Und noch eine Frage, wenn das nächste Zug ohne Reservierung ist, kann ich ihn spontan nehmen? (Auch paar Minuten früher entschieden) Reicht es wenn ich ihn in Planung mit Ticket verbinde? Danke für die Antworten. Weronika
