@Eurail Community Moderator I managed to make a seat reservation a month ago but I am struggling to add a large suitcase to my reservation. I have contacted Iryo customer services and they told me that it can be done online through Trenitalia but I couldn’t find any option in Trenitalia’s web site. Is there any way to add a lugagge to your reservation?

According to the original post in this thread, a large suitcase or backpack is automatically included.

I was confused about it since it was mentioned in the post that a large suitcase is included but the table in the link from the same post was showing me something open to interpretation (below). And customer services told me that it is not included. I could not reach out customer services again and I took my chances and went to train station. There was a ticket control before train and the setup was pretty much what you are used to in an airport like staff, priority boarding, templates for luggage sizes etc. But in the end nobody checked our luggages. I’m not sure if this is the normal procedure or simply staff was not completely ready for an 06:00am early train.
