+6No. The only buses you can use would be railway replacement buses. They would be used in situations when there's maintenance or disruption, but not during strikes.

If you want to avoid busy trains Megabus has tickets for 17£ (there are other companies).
Yes only one per hour and they will be quite busy. And you’re lucky : most lines do not have a single train that day !
