As I can’t view seat avaliablity before buying a 2 month pass, how likely is it that I will miss out on seats in July If I purchase a pass now? I am travelling through Spain, France, Switzerland and Norway.

Booking elsewhere than on eurail.com is often cheaper.
Reservations for the summer can often not be booked yet.
Reservations for domestic trains in Switzerland are not needed and generally a waste of money.
