Hi, I’m planning on interrailing in October, and I have a friend that is going to visit me in Zagreb. He spoke to me about visiting Ljubljana, and I was wondering if he would be able to buy an individual ticket for that one journey, from Ljublana to Zagreb, without buying a full pass and just buying one individual ticket?

Thanks in advance for any help

Of course he can buy separate tickets and travel with you on a pass.

Ok great thanks for your help, sorry quite an obvious question but i couldnt find any of the trains online. Im guessing he would just need to buy a ticket at the station?

Yes. As you would also do for a short trip at home. There is mostly just 1 single fare (not that british overwhelming list of many choices/timings), perhaps reduced for some age groups. No RES needed-and train times are only put online for a month to come or so-they will not change a lot after that.

The only thing is there is likely a reduction for returns-just ask when buying. If that friend is SLO-then he/she most likely would know all that.
