Greetings,

Me and my girlfriend want to travel from Lyon to Bologna on Sunday 28th of july with our Interrail global pass. We thought about taking the EC 39 but I could not see it on the time table. Will it still come on the timetable at a later time?

 

Otherwise does anyone have any recommendations we should then do? We would love to have a more direct route with less transfers :)

There are works between Domodossola and Milan. Trains are replaced by buses (2h20 journey).

You can find the bus timetable on trenitalia.com (it connects nicely to the ECs from Switzerland) and it should appear in the coming weeks in the other planners.
