Hello,

we’re actually in France but because of the extremely hot weather we‘re thinking about visiting Norway instead of Spain. The question is, are we allowed to travel trough Germany (we live in Germany) or would this end our trip because it’s our inbound ticket back to Germany?

You can use a maximum of 2 travel days in your country of residence. You can use these days whenever you like during the validity period of the pass. Therefore you can cross Germany as your inbound travel day. You then need a normal ticket from the German border to your home at the end of your trip.

It won’t END your trip but you are only allowed to make any journeys in your home country on 2 days, that is ANY 2 days, out of your pass allocation.

Which days and which journeys they are is up to you and those days are also part of your overall allocation. Once used you cannot use again in your home country but you can use the remaining days anywhere else.

If you need to travel more than 2 days in home country decide which will be cheapest to travel with other tickets/ other means and use interrail for the rest of your travel.

Hier in DE ists ja heuer auch überheiss. So heiss das angeblich sogar DB-IT zusammenbricht.
