You will have your own travel advice, but I rely on the guidance from the British Foreign Office. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/egypt There are some ‘do not visit’ areas, but the popular tourist destinations are OK, with sensible precautions and an acceptance of risk. Yes, I hear about the areas that you should not visit and yes for the destination I found a blog about the on where to visit and the do's and don'ts it was discuss here also https://gowithguide.com/blog/egypt-tourism-statistics-2023-all-you-need-to-know-5312 I probably just follow this guide while travelling there. Thank you for this, I definitely check and rely from this link that you provided!
Fly into Rome this is a major airport and a good starting point for exploring central/western Italy. Spend a few days seeing sites like the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and also you can take the train to Naples it is the centre for pizza, mozzarella and coastal towns. and also consider spending time in Sorrento, a charming town with beaches and hiking trails suitable for kids.
Yes, you can. Poland to Germany, There are direct overnight trains from Krakow to destinations in Germany like Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne. These often have sleeper car options. Some connections may require a transfer in Warsaw or Poznan.
This community is about rail travel in Europe with Interrail and Eurail passes. I'm afraid this is not really the place to find advice about Egypt. Seat61 does have useful train travel info: https://www.seat61.com/Egypt.htm Yes, that's why I said it's kinda off topic 😅 but thank you for this, the link is helpful!
You need internet.
just be sure to choose "London" rather than a specific London station.
Don't forget to check less popular train companies too, not just TGV. You may find decently priced options that way. Also be flexible on departure/arrival times within reason
On some routes, reservations are compulsory even with an Interrail pass, so you need both the pass and reservation ticket to board the train.
It does seem strange that an entire train from Nice to Barcelona would be fully booked already, especially on a Saturday in July. and Try booking the two segments separately - Nice to Montpellier and Montpellier to Barcelona. Sometimes the connection gets blocked for some reason.
I'd recommend flying or taking the train between Paris and your first French destination to maximize time and try the Lyon and Avignon.
This is helpful, thank you!
