@Susan Hurley-Glowa Yes, that’s exactly what I meant. It is not too bad as journeys within that single Trip are arranged by date and time. It just is confusing because the app allows you to create several trips as if you could have one trip per travel day.Good luck.
Hello Steph LDNI had quite a few issues using the Mobile Pass, too, though not the kind you described. You may find the app behaving differently depending on whether you have a data connection (mobile data or WiFi). It seems if the app detects a data connection then it tries to link to some online resource cycling through its “please wait pictograms” whereas it goes straight through to the desired app screen if you are offline.I also discovered that you can add only a SINGLE “trip” (as stored under “MyTrips” to a pass and have to add ALL your journeys to this one trip. That’s what threw me, and like yourself, just before I was due to travel.Given the option in future, I will definitely get a paper pass. All that electronic stuff is great when it works but, frankly, its so unreliable that it just is not worth the worry when problems happen during the journey.Good luck and safe journey.
Hello WillBCI am not sure if this is going to help but if you have a Mobile Pass then you can see the “pass reference” number by opening the Interrail app and selecting “MyPass” at the bottom. Tap on the pass in question and the following page shows all the pass details including that number.Incidentally, reserving seats for travel in Italy recently I used the app feature without a need to enter the pass number, here:main screen > More > Seat reservations > “Italy” > Search > Book with Eurail/InterrailFor seat reservations in Germany I used the German rail website at www.bahn.de (it has an English language interface as well as German).Good luck and safe journey.
Hello againI just had another go and managed to solve this problem myself. I am posting the solution here so that another poor soul tearing their hair out about this will hopefully be spared the wait for an answer. The problem was that I had created several trips under MyTrip with the intention to have one trip per travel day.As it turned out, you can have only ONE trip attached to ONE Mobile Pass. So ALL journeys done on ALL days of one Mobile Pass need to be saved in a SINGLE trip. I am not sure whether this makes sense but that is how it worked for me. Regardless, this was the first and the last time I bought a Mobile Pass. A piece of paper is hard to beat on reliability and certainty to work when required. Good luck and safe travels.
Hello MattheasI got the same problem as Clare and am in a similar rush as I will be travelling in a few hours. If I follow your instructions above» go to the "My Trip" section. There you click the + button and then select "Connect a Pass to this trip". «I only get an option to add a Paper Pass but not the Mobile Pass I got registered and visible under MyPass. I managed to make this work just fine a few days ago for my first travel day but everything I tried for the second day now failed. I simply don't get an option to connect a trip to the travel day as I did previously. I could do with an answer URGENTLY !
