Reservations and seating

Hello, It would be ideal to have seat reservation. You can book through OBB website which is really good. On the OBB website, it shows whether a seat reservation is required or not. You can find through it. Hope it helps and enjoy your upcoming trip :)

Thank you for your response. Yes, as you rightly said it was a hectic trip but I am on a tight deadline with my visa expiry dates and felt this was the ideal plan. I hope that you will have a nice trip 🌞 Thank you so much ☀ ☺

Seven day Global pass validity

I have a query regarding the Global pass which is for 7 days in month. I have done all my seat reservations but just wanted to check with you whether my plan was within the 7 day ticket limit. Here is the itinerary : Aug 1st : Roma - Austria (Night jet train) Aug 2nd: evening Austria - Warsaw (Night train) Aug 4th : Warsaw - Prague (night train) Aug 5th : Prague - Budapest (Night train) Aug 6th: Budapest - Slovenia (Night train) Start Europe ticket Aug 7th - Slovenia to villach Aug 8th - 00:55 am Villach to Roma (9:20 am) same day. Just want to know I'm within the 7 day pass limit and not crossing it, as I don’t want pay more money later on. Thank you Thank you for your response. Hello, Also look for OBB website to make seat reservations, you can seat reservations in PDF format which can help you. Italian trains are best booked by ÖBB, but ÖBB doesn't book Spanish or French trains. Yes, I can imagine the issue maybe try DB - Deutsche Bahn website. Hopefully it might work I am not sure. If I find any information, I’ll post it here.

Is my plan suitable for a 7 day pass?

There is NO suitable overnite Bp-SLO. But you could try via Wien. ALL overniters need to be REServed and on some this can only be done when there=risk being stranded if you only plan on this way. Also: if its the heatwave promised to come, I would not be very happy with 3-4 nites in a row on overnite trains with maybe just an overfloaded loo. Nor will other pax around you. Thank you for your response. Actually, I booked a reservation for BP - Slo overnight through MAV Csoport website which has no changes. I reserved for all the trains.My main query is as I got only 7 days within a month Global pass, Is this plan ideal for using 7 day tickets or will it be a problem to use the final day ticket?

Can't find a train in the Rail Planner

I have a seven day global pass which is valid for month. Once I activate this pass and I'm staying in a city for more than a day. So can I stop the ticket for those days and activate it again before I start travelling? I'm so confused with this. No, once you have activated the pass it will remain active during the whole validity period of the pass. You can't deactivate a pass after the start date. What is important is that you wait with activating your pass until just before boarding the first train of your travel. And that you do the same when connecting journeys to your pass. Only connect the journey to the pass just before boarding the train. OK now I understood it, so when I connect my train for the second day, the second day ticket will activate. Until then it just stays normal.Hope I was right?

Can't find a train in the Rail Planner

The app is often out of date. Also: when it starts in Wien, its a loco+a row of cars. NOT all cars go to WAW-on the way they get shunted and others joined. This is a major advantage of classic trains. That means it often does not show up in planners who cannot understand this. Thank you so much for the response and also I have one more question, I have a seven day global pass which is valid for month. Once I activate this pass and I'm staying in a city for more than a day. yes sure, you need a reservation for this train. You can get it via ÖBB. I got the reservation but I don't see this train timetable in the rail planner app.

Itinerary suggestions from Italy -> -> Austria -> Poland -> Czech Republic -> Hungary -> Italy

Yes, swap-look at a decent map: Wien-Prahy-Waw-Bp.-then come back either again via Wien or via SLOvenija-Ljubljana. OR-if you want to make selfie in all countries: via SK-stop Bratislava or some other more interesting place. OR change-if not want to visit Wien 2x: go on via DE, München-then Praha. The overnite Wien-Waw certainly has various stops-it has to also swap cars with other trains. Best to check oebb.at if it can manage to book-but perhaps not (always best to use railway of the country train departs from-but there are a few exceptions). Direct does not mean no stops, it only means: you do not have to change. Use a better planner-f.e. bahn.com-it covers all-and click on train nr and it will show all stops/whole route. Thank you so much for the Plan and I booked a seat reservation for night trains from Wien - Warsaw as I am meeting my friend and staying there for a day. I managed to book until Budapest and actually your Idea of visiting Slovenia -Ljubljana.As I have only 7days G

Hello all,I’m Dheeraj, 27 yrs old from India and currently living in Italy. I love travelling a lot and meeting new people from different cultures.I am very fortunate enough to live in five countries (India, U.A.E, The UK, Spain and Italy). As I’ve got a few months of visa left and I am planning to do Interrail to Prague (The city which is always on my bucket list) and maybe visit my friend in Poland whom I met during Erasmus in Spain. I am very much into exploring old towns and buildings. Currently planning a budget Interrail trip and feel free to provide me with any suggestions on travelling from Rome to the Czech Republic or nearby countries.
