Making seat reservations; Lille- Lyon

I am new to Interrail, finding it much more complex than I expected.

Please could someone explain to me how to reserve a seat from Lille Europe to Lyon at 1401 on Monday 13 June? Dead simple, step by step would be helpful!

Eurail’s web site just stops working when I try to use it.

Thank you for any help you can give a newcomer.

It should work via Interrail but that module hasn’t been behaving all day.

You can also book via Belgian railways (pass cover number needed; if you have a mobile pass, request one here.). There are seats for 20€:

This complexity is becse about anyone wants to use those nasty to get FRech TGV trains-once you have arrived in CH its dead easy-peasy as overthere the trains are without Mandatory REServ. As is also the case in Germany=DE for its ICE and AT=Austria for its IC/RailJets.

But its understandable for the many Brits going train-ing.

Thank you, rvdborgt, for a clear answer. I will try this out. Mcadv, Switzerland is my main destination and, yes, travelling without seat reservations looks great.
