Hi, I am travelling first class in Italy. And I want to bring the reservation time forward by 3 hours. I was wondering if anyone has managed this without being charged extra?

I don't know if it is possible via InterrailEurail or ÖBB but you could ask in a Italian Station at the Trenitalia Ticket Office or at the last minute Desk in larger stations. If there are free seats it should be possible to change, also you should not pay extra because technichly it is a BASE Ticket and you can change reservations, but if the reservation is issued by ÖBB could not work.

You must ask this at the agency where you bought the ticket.
This should be possible under Trenitalia's terms and conditions. So go for it!
