Do I add my inbound/outbound route to the Pass?

Hi,

I am looking to use Interrail for the first time. I am wanting to travel from London to Italy. When planning my route, would I need to add London onto the route or would that be left out as it would be my Inbound/Outbound trip?

Thanks

You write each trip in your traveldiary even London - Paris/Brussel as this would be your outbound and inbound days :) You can take as much trains you like/need within your homecountry on the Inbound/Outbound days
