Booking seat reservation - only available for 1st class not 2nd class

Connor Zheng

Hello, I have a question

I bought a eurail pass of class 2 for any 7 days in a month. When I was traveling in Italy and needed to book a seat, I couldn't find a reservation for class 2, so I could only book class 1. May I have a first class seat? if not what should i do?

You can't travel in first class if you have a pass for second class. Either you have to pay the difference between first and second class (in Italy at the ticket office), or you have to book another train.

That difference in price-to normal full fare, will be wopping high. DO read again the instruction on how to make REServ in ITaly via oebb.at-also saves the add-ons from eurail.
