Hi. Has anyone travelled directly from Salzburg to Lake Bled. Is it doable in 1 day and would I need to reserve seats? Websites seem to tell me very different length of time for travel and send me all over the shop rather than going direct. Thanks

Possible timetable:
Leave Salzburg Hbf 10.12
change in Villach Hbf (arrive 12.43, depart 12.53)
change in Jesenice (arrive 13.29, depart 13.56)
arrive Bled Jezero 14.10.
Takes less than 4 hours; no reservation needed.
Wenn du die richtige Verbindung wählst und tagsüber reist, ist die Fahrt auch ohne Reservierung innerhalb von 5-6 Stunden möglich. Viel Spaß!

+7The lake of Bohinj is also very nice. Less touristic, great scenery at lots of outdoor-acitivity possibilities. Take the train to Bohinsjka Bistrica in Jesenice, just a few stops further from Bled Jezero.
