Hi! I wanna travel to Italy this summer (for 1 week - Bologna, Florence, Bari) and then go to the greek islands from there (for 2 weeks). Afterwards, for two weeks I would like to travel to Italy (Venice, Triest), Croatia (Rijeka, Zagreb) and Hungary (Budapest). And from there back to my home in Germany. Which passes would you recommend? And, most importantly: which greek island pass do I need to take the ferry from Italy to Greece? Is it included in the 4 days pass / global pass or do I need the 6 days greek island pass?

Thanks a lot for your help!

All information about the Greek Island passes is here:

https://www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/one-country-pass/greece-passes/greek-islands

Some FAQs are here:

https://www.interrail.eu/en/support/the-greek-islands-pass

In short:

  • The Italy to Greece ferry is only included in the 6-day pass.
  • The global pass will only give a discount on the Italy-Greece ferry (discount depends on the season) and 30% on the included Greek domestic ferries.
  • To see if a pass is worth it, make a plan and then compare prices with/without the pass.
