I can't book any seat for this trip through the app. Any suggestions how to do it would much appreciated! Thanks

Can be booked in Romania (ticket office) and probably by Deutsche Bahn (ticket office or by phone), since DB could also do that last summer. Cannot be booked online.

You could also ask at an SNCF ticket office - you never know.
