Booked UK trains with Eurail pass on GWR website

Lucas Bernabeu

Hi,

I have a trip planned for the UK in October, I have my Eurail Pass and recently made some seat reservations in the GWR website for that trip.

I was wondering, as they only send me an email with a 8-digit code for the seat reservation, is enough alongside the Eurail Pass to board the train? Or I’m missing some QR code? It was also free so I was wondering if they will charge me in the station or with the Eurail it will be free.

Thanks a lot!

Seat reservations in the UK are optional and free of charge. Never pay a penny for them.

You can make them on the GWR website, at the train station, etc.

Thanks! But is safe to go without a reservation? Or is risky if the train is full and we can’t board it? Not sure about the amount of people boarding those trains regulary.

At rush hour you could have to stand but in my GWR travels I've always found a seat. :)
