Hello! I purchased the global pass for 3 months. I have to take a train from Madrid to San Sebastian on july 21. When I searched for it in the eurail app, I found one train but with seat reservations requiered. It says that the reservations in Spain must be in ticket office or self service machine...is there another way to reserve? I cannot miss that train :(

NO, and have to go to counter, machine will not do. BTW: anyone now calls it Donostia (basque language).
UNless you come str8 from plane to train, a day or so advance will be enough-and its not 1 but several trains/day.
