Pass Cover Number

Maggie Talbot-Minkin

Hi all,

I’m supposed to travel from Paris to Lyon tomorrow and I am unable to book my reservation because I have a mobile pass, and therefore no pass cover number.

Can anyone help with this? I’ve written to customer service and gotten no response.

Thank you!

The best way to make reservations for French trains is to call SNCF. No need of Pass Cover Number.

https://www.sncf.com/en/customer-service/contact-us/telephone

Press #85 for English, no booking fees, reservations are sent via e-mail

However, I think that they closed at 20.00.

If you are in France you can make the reservation at a SNCF ticket office.

Do you have to pay the full fare with SNCF or do they just charge you for the seat reservation?

You tell them that you have a Eurail pass and then you hope that there are pass holder seats left on the train you want to travel with. If there are no seats left you need to change to plan B.

Plan b just book your reservations at the station :) If you are already in France. Much easier and no waiting time in the phoneline (but especially in Paris at the ticket office)
