We have yet to activate our passes for our trip to Europe at the end of august and we just reserved seats on one of the legs of our trip, only to realize that my fiancé is listed as a female. Does this mean his eurail pass too will say he is “Ms?” If so, is it a big deal or do I need to do something about it?

This should not be a problem, since the name on the Passport matches the one from the reservation.

It MAY revoke problems if that ´seat´ is a sleeper-the 2nd cl real sleepers (in /en/ this is hard to explain, as most /en/ call a couchette also a sleeper) are often divided in male and female ones-if they sleep 3.
But for normal daytime seats noone will even care about it
