Does the Global Pass count as a train ticket ?

I have a Global Pass for 1 month. If I want to board on trains that do not require seat reservation, do I need to book the trains/buy tickets ? Or can I just board the trains and show my Global Pass as a ticket if checks are made ?

Your pass is your ticket.

You always have to register the trains you use (on the pass cover for a paper pass, or in My Trip and then in My Pass for the mobile pass). For trains without reservations, that's all you need to do.
