I am from India and planning to visit norway somewhere around end of august. Oslo will be are location for stay. We are planning to a trip for stavenger and bergen via train. Can someone please guide if its compulsory to obtain europe eurail pass before starting the journey via train. Also, if we do not take this pass, how can we travel around?

Use the Norway site Entur. You’ll get get fares and times. Work out which is cheaper from this! This site can sell you tickets if you phone them and email the tickets to you. Both these routes have compulsory reservation whatever ticket you use!

How? Just like on IR in your home: by booking normal tickets. these are VERY expensive, but all things in NO are.
