1 Class Eurail Pass. Do I require reservations?

I have a 1st Class Pass, does that mean I get to sit in first class without paying extra?

In general "yes", unless on trains with mandatory reservations (mostly TGV, Eurostar, Thalys, Frecce trains, AVE,...)

. Sometimes advisable to book a seat in first class on busy times, on trains with optional reservations.
