When I buy the 4 days in one month ticket, is it activated since the date of the purchase or does it start with the first day of travel?

Mobile passes are valid for activation for 11 months from issue date.
You add it to the app and choose when to activate it.
From activation date you then have 1 month to use your 4 days. 1 month is always calculated as a full elapsed month minus 1 day, eg May 12 - June 11.
