what are my options

I am flying into Rome. I want to take a train from Rome to Paris and then Geneva. Fly into Rome and fly out from Geneva. What are my options. I have a function in Geneva so it has to be my last stop. Travel days are 4/12 to 4/20. Thank you. It looks like a global pass will be a good option.

Well, options are infinite. ;)

Rome - Milan - Paris takes too long to be enjoyable in a single day so I'd stop en route. Roughly 3 options (Milan, Turin or Nice/French Riviera). I'd pick the latter for scenery.

- Rome - Nice: plenty of options with connections. 9h travel time so possible to spend a night in La Spezia or Cinque Terre.

- Nice - Paris: 5h50-6h direct TGV. Half the journey at high-speed: 300 km/h is always fun! ;)

- Paris - Geneva: 3h15 direct TGV.

Advance tickets might be cheaper than Global Pass + mandatory seat reservations in France and Italy. Do some calculations using the railway companies websites (Trenitalia and SNCF).

Book pretty soon whichever option you choose though as Easter is a busy time (accommodation as well).
