Traveling in home country

Iris

Hi! I’m thinking about getting a Global Pass for two months.
But I want to travel like a week, go back to Germany (my home country)  travel another two weeks, go back to Germany and so on.

Do you know if that’s possible?

And also if I can travel inside Germany with the two month Global Pass?

Thanks for your help!

You are allowed to use only 2 days in your home country.

But you can buy train tickets from DB to the border station or the “Grenztarifpunkt” where your Interrail is than valid outside Germany.

OR-why even mecker about such a bargain-use the new to come 9€/whole month Nahverkehr SuperAngebot this summer.

DB does NOT sell any tickets to grenztarifpunkte anymore since they switched their salesystem a yr or 2 ago. ONLY those with BC100 can buy add-on tickets FROM such points to foreign places.

Depending on where you live it could also be the local Verbund, like from D to NL on VRR or from DD to CZ on VVO.
