I want to take the new Berlin to Paris direct (20 July 2025) and want to know about the seat reservation. From what I can find on the DB site that reservations can only be done from 15 days before. Can anyone who took this train please confirmthis?

I'm not sure where you saw that, but you can already book.

The 15-day problem was only temporary.

I'm not sure where you saw that, but you can already book.

The 15-day problem was only temporary.

I tried to book with Deutsche Bahn and still get the message

Update, I was able to make the reservation using Rail Europe

That means that you selected "Seat only”, which you should not do for these pass reservations.
