Train cancellation refund

Gabrielle Lancesseur

Hello, Our train Thalys on the 05/08 with the number 9411 has been cancelled. We made the reservation through the euro rail website, would it be possible to have a refund or exchange so we can book another train? Kind regards, Gabrielle

I'm sorry that your train has been canceled! You definitely have a right to be refunded in this case and our customer service team will request the refund on your behalf. Please email us on customerservice@interrail.eu with your reservation number and any proof of cancellation that you might have. The carrier usually sends out an email informing travelers of the cancellation, this will be perfectly fine. I would advise you to already make new reservations, you can find more information about planned maintenance and possible disruptions on Thalys’ website as well as on our dedicated travel disruptions page.

Have you contacted Thalys? They have cancelled the train, it is their responsibility to find alternatives for you.

But as this topic has been raised so many times and on other forums: they simply cannot here as the mass of cancellations is so big that the AT by themselves are simply not there. And as always with these things; there is the theory and the practice. If you wait for them, you can wait forever, or certainly till your pass has finihsed.
