Part of our planning for a 3 week train tour of certain European countries is knowing the time it talked between cities. How do we find the train schedules that define those lapsed times?
If you check the timetables of the national railway in the countries you plan to travel in you will see how long time the train takes. SBB (Switzerland) DB (Germany) and ÖBB (Austria) have good websites that cover several countries. The Interrail/Eurail Railplanner does not cover all countries and not all trains for some countries so it is always best to use timetables from the national railways.
Bahn.com, of Germany, is the best for a general all-purpose overview. It will also very clearly tell if those rides NEED to be RES or not (then its optional or for short regional rides not possible).
Note that as those from USA tend to think one has to arrange all that many monthes ahead or plan for summer ´23: you will NOT find times for then now. Railways will not want to commit so long advance. Just use a samedayofweek this or next month for a global idea-major routes will have mostly 1 train/hr. But its useful to check what can be done without changes etc. and roughly if it would take 1,5 or 6,66 hrs. Or for longer sectors, if there is a feasible nighttrain. We also do not use am/pm here-its all 24 hr clock
