Hi all,

I am thinking of buying the 1st class Interrail ticket for Italy. Does anyone know which class it actually corresponds to in Italian trains? As I can see some Trainlines offer classes like premium, business and executive.

Or does the 1st class Interrail ticket make you eligible to book any of those classes and the difference will be evident in the reservation fee?

In Italy 1st class is the Business Class. Premium is only 2nd class with included drink and snack (not available for Interrail) and Executive Class is first class plus with included meals and big seats.

Standard (2nd), Premium, Business (1st), Executive.

Hi Angelo,

Thanks for your fast reply. Are 1st class interrail passengers also eligible to buy the executive seat or is it reserved for direct booking only?

Executive can only booked with normal tickets or the Trenitaliapass (not with Interrail)
