Can we purchase individual train tickets from this app? Or how do we purchase a pass? We are needing 4 train rides within 2 weeks - 2 on the same day. From Berlin to Munich to Venice to Florence to Rome. Advice?

If by "this app” you mean the Rail planner app, then no. That app is meant to manage the Eurail pass. You can't buy anything in it.
