Reservation with two different passes

Hello,
I have a question. My boyfriend and I are going to travel to Italy in July. I have a ticket for Italy only and because I live near the Italian border and he has a ticket for more countries because he is from Germany. Is it possible to make seating reservations for both of us even though we have different passes? We want to sit next to each other. His journey begins in Munich and mine in Brenner.
Thanks in advance

Yes it is entirely possible. Avoid interrail.eu (extra fees) and book on tickets.oebb.at : no booking fee and it works all across Italy and many other countries. Add Interrail as a discount and select one-way tickets

- Frecciarossa 13€

- IC 3€

There is a 10€ supplement for Brennerpass which is bought on tickets.oebb.at the same way

Thanks @thibcabe for your fast reply!

Is the code for the discount "Interrail"?

And why is there an extra supplement for the Brennerpass?

It's our first trip with Interrail and a bit more difficult than expected...

On the website you enter Interrail as a discount when you enter the passengers

The supplement is in place because the company maintaining that railway (ÖBB Italia) doesn't want to acknowledge the pass and prefers the money of supplements...

Thank you @thibcabe !

You were really helpful 😊
