Hi

I have just recently purchased a ticket (11-May-26) for a trip that we are starting in

The pass is not yet activated and is valid until 11 April 2027.

I have just tried to book the seats in the train that require reservations. I can book some of the trips but I have just tried to book section of it and it reads “Your Pass isn't valid on this date”

1st train I had to book was from Bruges to Paris on 20th August 2026. I could reserve seats

2nd train was from Paris to La Rochelle on 25th August 2026. I could reserve seats

3rd train was from La Rochelle to Biarritz on 27th August 2026. I could reserve seats

4th train was from Biarritz to Castelnaudary on 6th September 2026. I could not reserve seats and said that my pass was not valid on this date? I tried the 3rd September and this was possible to book, but from the 4th September onwards I can’t book?

Seeing that its a 2 month pass with 10 days on travel, I can’t understand why I can’t book a seat. Am I missing something?

Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks

John

Have you activated the pass? That is not necessary to book seats.

In addition, there are more places where you can book seats. In fact, the Eurail website is often not the best or cheapest website to book. Instead, use this page as a guide to reservations:

https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm

For France, the Rail Europe and B-Europe websites are also good to use. If you use Rail Europe, then always set the currency to euro to avoid their 5% mark-up for other currencies.
