I am gearing up to activate my 2 month, 10 day Eurail pass for our 18 day whirlwind trip. The 11 month activation date deadline is in four days. Is there a problem if my day one on the Pass is not until October 8 yet the activation date is tomorrow, Sept 17?

Normal you should never activate a pass in advance, but if you have a last activation date that is before your first travel day, you must activate the pass no later than the last activation date.
There's no problem that your first travel day is some days later than your activation date.
