I want to make sure I understand how it all works.  I purchase the pass now (7 travel days), travelling in May 2026.  I can activate the pass now or later.  I must activate the pass to be able to reserve on trains.  I can reserve starting 90 days prior to train travel date, but not before.

Do I have to do anything for my pass at any train stations or do I just show up and board my train?

Appreciate your time!

You never need to activate your pass to make reservations. You should activate the pass on the day of your first travel, not in advance.

Reservations are best done elsewhere that through Interrail/Eurail. Most reservations can be done more than 90 days in advance.
