activation of global plus pass (beta)

Hello! We are looking to purchase the interrail plus pass (beta) which include most seat reservation costs. That is 29/3 and we want to travel in August however it says the pass will need to be activated within 3 months of purchase. Does this mean we need to book the seats and travel in August within 3 months or does it mean we need to travel within 3 months.

Also

Has anyone used the plus pass with seat reservation costs covered and is it worth it?

Thanks! ☺️

To see whether it's worth it, you'll have to do the maths. Check the list of "List of included countries and railway carriers” to see what reservations you can make and whether they use any credits.

Use this page to see what reservations costs normally:

https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm

You will indeed only be able to book the included seats after buying the pass, which you can only do no more than 3 months before your start date. It's only the start date of the validity period that can be no later than 3 months after purchase.

If you want to travel in August with a PlusPass, you can't buy that pass now.

You have to activate it no later than 3 months after purchase. If you buy it today, the latest possible start date is 7 July, so the pass will then be valid until 6 August. You could then indeed buy it now, but you need to set the activation date to 7 July.
