Adding Greek Ferry Reservation to App

I’m looking for clear instructions on adding ferry reservations to the mobile App. All instructions I have found are for train reservations. My inquiry directly to Eurail advised that  the ferry reservations need to be added manually to the App. However, there were no instructions on how to activate the pass on the App and I am unsure if this is even possible. Any help is appreciated:)

If this is for a Greek Island Pass, then indeed you need to add the ferries manually.

In the planner, request a random journey. Then scroll to the bottom of the results and tap on "Add it manually”. Then you can change the data as required.

How to activate the pass is explained in the confirmation mail (if you ordered directly from Eurail) and here:

https://www.eurail.com/en/eurail-passes/eurail-mobile-pass/getting-started

It is however not a good idea to activate a pass or a travel day in advance.

I think that the Anek Superfast ferry company offers a reduced fare for Interrail/Eurail pass holders but you do not need to use a travel day for the journey.

@rvdborgt, why not?

There is no advantage, only a possible disadvantage. You can only cancel activation until midnight before validity starts. If you decide to postpone your trip and forget to change the start date, or if you wake up ill on the planned start date, then it will be too late to cancel and you can loose travel days.

@Randall, and when adding a journey manually, it is also important that you set the transport type to ferry.

Just back from the Greek Islands. Four ferry trips and no one asked for my ID card or for the Interrail Pass or QR-code, just a scan of the QR-code of the reservation (twice we did a web check-in and twice we had the reservation printed twice at an office).
