Adding journeys which dont show on Trip planner

Hi all, how do i add a journey to my trip if the journey does not show on the planner?

Example: I’m travelling from Brussels to Berlin via Cologne. Int.bahn.de shows this service at 06.25, 08.25, 10.25, 11.25, 12.25, 13.25 and so on.

Trip planner shows the service only starting from 11.25 and then less frequently than is actually timetabled.

I have the same thing with other journeys where i can see a single direct service exists, it accepts interrail reservations but it is not shown as an option on the planner - which advises tortuous 5+ change routes adding hours and 100s of unnecessary miles to the trip.

What am i missing?

The app is probably missing timetable updates. I'm guessing you're looking several months in advance.

Don't worry about what the app is currently showing. Usually it will have updated timetables by the time you travel. If not, you can still add a train manually.

Hello,

Could you explain how to add a train manually, as suggested by rvdborgt?

Thank-you!

I couldn’t I’m afraid. I’m just hoping it’ll be obvious at the time if i need to. Either that or i’ll get my 9 year old daughter to charm the ticket inspector with her squishmallows 😂

Scroll down in the results of the planner and then tap on "Add it manually”.

But as I said: no need to do this yet. The requirement is that you add your journey to your pass before you board.

Thank you rdvbogt and Stephen for your replies. I actually found how to do it on 'The man in seat 61' website,  if anyone wants to take a look. Thanks again!
