Advice on train does it just say one city it goes though

Hi,

I am ready to book my first set of reservations for my sister and myself.

I want to book us on a train from Paris to Lucerne in August.  I did a search that said we should use Gare de Lyon in Paris.

I went to buy the reservations but they only list Basel and they don’t mention Lucerne.

Do the reservations just say the name of the first city and not the name of the second train when you change trains?

Please help. I don’t want to buy these if I’m doing it wrong and find out my reservation doesn’t work for the second train.

Should I book each leg of the trip separately?

And, is okay to book all my reservations through the Eurail website here where I bought our Euraill passes.

Here is the itinerary I am reserving.  Is the leg from Basil to Lucerne no reservation because none is needed?

The journey from Paris Gare de Lyon to Basel requires a reservation, the journey from Basel to Luzern doesn't. Book the TGV to Basel using raileurope.com (indicating you have a pass) as they don't charge booking fees.

If you're using a mobile pass, you'll have to add both journeys to it to have a ticket. If you have a paper pass, you'll have to write both down.
