You'll have to do the math yourself. There are multiple journeys possible every day.

You can use e.g. www.thetrainline.com to look up regular fares. I wouldn't book there but you can find prices quickly. Then check reservations:

Paris-Amsterdam: www.raileurope.com (limited availability)

Amsterdam-Frankfurt: www.bahn.com (family reservation)

Frankfurt-Interlaken: www.bahn.com (family reservation)

Interlaken-Zurich: no reservation needed.

If you decide to go for passes, then buy them on 1 April at the latest because there's a sale until then.

I suspect a 4-day global pass will suit your needs. On top of the pass (the pass is free for kids) you'll need reservations for the Eurostar between Paris and Amsterdam that cost €32 per person (also for children). You will also have to reserve the train from Amsterdam to Frankfurt, but that only costs about €10 for the entire family. I recommend you do so too for the train from Frankfurt to Switzerland, but for trains within Switzerland reserving is not necessary.

Check what tickets would cost you on eurostar.com (Paris-Amsterdam), bahn.de (Amsterdam-Frankfurt and Frankfurt-Interlaken) and sbb.ch (Interlaken-Zürich) and compare that to the cost of a pass + reservation fees listed above.

If travelling with a pass, book the seat reservation for the Paris-Amsterdam eurostar well on time as those sell out quickly.

You don't need to activate your pass to book reservations. Activating in advance is not a good idea.

For pass reservations, this page is a good guide:

And also this general introduction:
