Hi, has anyone bought the Eurasia Global Pass from Agoda?? Seems like there are on quite a discount. On website it’s $734 for 7 days and on Agoda it’s only $676. Wondering if is there any difference buying it from the actual website vs this. Please help.

Unfortunately you didn’t tell what you are trying to buy (the official price depends on age). E.g. a global pass for 2 under 28 2nd class is US-$ 630 if bought officially. $ 734 would be the official price for for one adult and one youth pass.

One difference is that Agoda doesn't do refunds.

Hi Hektor, I’m booking 7 days 2nd class for 1 adult, 1 youth that comes to $734 on the rural website and $676 on Agoda

It looks like Agoda are discounting the fare alright, but I’ve never heard of that happening before.  If it’s true then it’s good value.

Note that the date shown on the screengrab above is 18th April - 2 days time.  Are you planning on starting your trip in 2 days or is that an error?

Hi @zagmund, so the date on the app seems to be not specific to the booking. They are there for just show. See the below details

I just bought this and it’s totally legit. Eurail has a couple of 15-20-25% off sales, usually towards the middle or end of the year, which is not much use in January :/ There’s no straight answer on this thread (and it seems to be the only one on the internet) so I’m posting for anyone who comes after me looking for the same info, to clarify.

The Agoda Eurail Global passes are currently around 10% off Eurail’s full pricing, which is better than nothing, especially if buying for two - it’s basically let me buy first class for just a smidge more than the regular price of second, which I’m happy with. I couldn’t find any other discounts or any working codes and I needed my passes now so I could book busy train routes over in-demand times (middle of the day, weekends and Easter) as I need to travel on specific dates now that I’ve booked non-refundable air tickets and accommodation, and prices for routes have already increased in the last week or so that for me, buying the passes is cheaper than direct point-to-point tickets (even factoring in reservation fees).

I bought and paid via Agoda, I got an ‘Agoda is processing your booking’ email straight away, and it took around five hours to receive my booking confirmation email, which includes my Eurail pass numbers and instructions for using these (basically download Eurail’s ‘Rail Planner’ app and enter your surname and pass number - this worked perfectly and the Eurail app has recognised the pass numbers provided by Agoda, so I can now confirm buying through Agoda is fully legit and the passes are correct in all details (name, type, days, class, etc). Just a note for when you’re going through the Agoda buying process - press ‘continue’ or ‘next’, not ‘add to cart’ (when I did ‘add to cart the price increased for some reason - just check your final pricing before paying and go back and do it again if the pricing changes).

I can technically cancel for a full refund anytime before activating the pass (which happens on the first day of travel) and I have until December (11 months) to use the pass, just as you would if buying through Eurail direct. Once you have the pass in the Rail Planner app there’s no record of where you bought it from, it’s just a regular Eurail pass. Safe travels all.
