Does anyone knoe how to fix this problem? I have i friend who lives just over the border between the Netherlands and Germany, on the side of Germany. We are currently on our trip that started from Nijmegen in The Netherlands. Now we have been in Switserland, Italy, Austria and the Checz Republic. We are now on our way to Berlin and thats where the issue is. My friend lives in Germany, so the out/inbound system works for him in Germany. We did not account for this considering he never does anything in Germany and does school and all other daily things in The Netherlands. He now cannot contine to Denmark after Berlin because of how the days work. Is there a way to fix this? Please help.

Once you've used the 2 inbound/outbound days, then you can only travel in your country of residence with a normal ticket.

He'll need a normal ticket to either the border tariff point or to Padborg (whichever is cheaper, in this case probably a Supersparpreis to Padborg) and he can continue to use the pass outside of Germany.

In such a situation it's the best to use the 2 inbound/outbound days for the most expensive journeys in your country of residence. From the Polish border to Berlin will be cheaper than from Berlin to the Danish border. But if he has activated the last in/outbound for today, then it's too late to change that.

I don't think there's any way around it. The app would have notified him that he was using an inbound/ outbound day.

If you'd noticed this earlier, you could have changed your travel plans.

I guess you'd planned to travel through Germany again on the way back from Denmark, too?

He’ll have to pay for a ticket to the border if you want to continue to Denmark (and same on the way back). Maybe a Deutschland ticket would work well, to reduce cost?

Or you could change your plans, and go East into Poland or back to the Czech Republic. That will be cheaper than buying a ticket to Denmark.
