Booking seats on return day to Uk

My wife and I are returning to London St Pancras on Eurostar and then switching to London Euston on the same evening to travel to our home station using our 30 day /5 travel day/ 1st class Eurorail passes. We have selected an Avanti train for the final leg of the journey but are struggling to find a link to make seat reservations - even though our “Journey” says that these are required. All of our European seats have been booked with no problems. Can anyone assist us please

Maybe there are other ways too, but you can book the reservation for sure through the TransPennine App (Menu: seat and bike reservations).

These reservations are not required (the Rail Planner app is wrong because Avanti sends incorrect data). You can book online on the TPE and GWR websites free of charge, as Seat61 explains:

A big “Thank you” for both replies. We are now feeling much happier and have decided to see if we can resolve the problem on our "way out” of the country as we will be staying over in London the night before setting off on Eurostar on the first travel day of our Interrail passes. Hoping there is SOMEONE on Euston station who can make our reservations for the return trip. Also hoping to get some guidance at the Eurostar terminal before our 07:02 departure to Barcelona via Lille and Lyon - maybe even complete the EES procedures?? Thank you

How are you getting to London? I assume from the wording above, that you’ve bought a ticket or made other arrangements. And you’ll start your pass on the day you depart from St Pancras?

You won’t be able to EES procedures the day before travel, but you can certainly have a look at the departure area if you like. In the morning, just turn up about 1 hour before departure, and join the queue. There are always plenty of staff to direct you.

Yes, you can book your Avanti reservation at Euston as you pass through but, as above, they’re not compulsory and you can also do it online.
