Hello,

Planning my trip to France, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland for September 2025 and trying to figure out costs for Switzerland.

I’m looking to find which cablecars/gondolas are covered using the Eurail Global Pass for the Bernese-Oberland area including Grindelwald and surrounding areas like Kanderstegg to get to Oeschinensee Lake.

I know there is a coverage map for trains, but wasn’t sure if there was one for cablecars/gondolas and/or a site that lists the cost of these as well.

Any help is so greatly appreciated!!

The map is here: https://www.interrail.eu/content/dam/_new-structure/doc/res/See_Switzerland_by_train_2024_Geltungsbereich.pdf

Only the Lauterbrunnen - Grütschalp cable car is fully covered, linking the Mürren railway.

Others are not included. Sometimes you get a discount though. Remember that it's mostly a train/rail pass. ;)

Amazing, I’ve done so much digging but somehow have not been able to find that map or maybe it got lost in the shuffle. Thank you so much!

Do you know if there is a site that lists out prices for the different cable cars or at least what percent discount we’d get with the Eurail pass?

That map shows the discounts as well, solid black lines are cable cars that are included, dotted lines are 50% discount, dotted lines with a 1 beside are 25% discount and grey lines are any transport that are not included. You have to zoom in close to see the detail and look at the index on the map.

The distinction between dotted and dashed rail lines (red) is quite easy to miss, dashed being included lines in tunnel.
