Can I use InterRail Pass?

I currently have a work visa in the UK and have been here for over three years.
My visa expires at the end of September this year and I would like to travel around Europe for two months from the beginning of September.
Is the InterRail Pass available in this case?

I believe I am entitled to buy an InterRail pass because my work visa in the UK is still valid at the start of my trip and I have been resident in the UK for more than six months.
However, that visa will expire at the end of September and I will be entering the UK on a tourist visa when I re-enter the UK after my tour of Europe. In that case, will I not be able to use my InterRail pass as I will not be resident in the UK when I re-enter?
I will visit some friends in the UK for the last time after my European tour and then return to my home country.

Please let me know if anyone has had a similar experience.
Thank you.
