It looks as though I may have to change a reservation that I made with Rail Europe - basically changing from a journey Milano Garibaldi to Roma Termini to a different time leaving from Milano Centrale to Roma Termini.

I saw that there was an earlier posting on this site that offered the guidance:

https://help.raileurope.co.uk/article/41286-exchanging-tickets#account

However this guidance implies that there is a button: exchange options and I cannot see that on my Rail Europe app.

@petershotts

You can install the Trenitalia app, create an account, import your reservation and choose another train. Please note that it is no more possible to obtain a refund on Rail Europe after an exchange on Trenitalia.

However, I don’t think that it is possible to depart from another station in Milano. In this case, you can cancel the reservation with a fee of 20% and make a new one. The new €2 reservation fee is not refunded.

I think its even possible to change the route for those reservations.

Changing the route of a reservation is possible with Trenitalia and that's also free of charge. If the Trenitalia app won't let you do it, then go to a Trenitalia ticket office or call them.

You could also ask Rail Europe how to exchange reservations:
