I am from Canada and will be traveling from Civitavecchia to Rome for the first time. I am not familiar with the train stations in Italy. When planning my trip, it shows two options for Rome: Rome and Rome Termini. Which one is the correct one to choose if my hotel is the Crowne Plaza? Also, should I expect any issues with getting a ticket if I don't reserve ahead of time?

Roma Termini is the main rail station in the city, Rome will be a general search that may give results for any of a number of stations.

Civitavecchia to Rome has frequent regional trains, these cannot be reserved, either use a ticket or pass you already have or if not you can buy one from the station ticket office or ticket machines.

To find out which station is best you should use a map app such as google maps that will give you options for the full journey, which stations to use and any connections you need to make.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
