como empezar a usar interrail

Por favor , que alguien me explique como usar interrail,

LLegaré en avion a Edimburgo (Escocia) y desde aqui quiero recorrer Reino Unido en tren .

Ya me he registrado en Interrail , y también en la comunidad , que espero que alguien se apiade de mi y le explique a éste novato a dar los primeros pasos . 

Por lo que he podido aveririguar hay un pase para un pais (en este caso Gran Bretaña ) , somos 2 , osea mi mujer y Yo , he llegado a averiguar los precios de los pases por días flexibles , y que habria que hacer reservas en algunos trenes y/o en algún horario pero que no puede hacerse desde la app , sino que tiene que ser desde la web. , o al menos eso creo , o en la estación ? , ¿ y la app es la Rail planner ? …

Entonces que tengo que hacer ,¿ comprar el pase y que sea digital , quiero decir que te mandan en un correo para que te descargues el pase y luego lo tienes que poner en la app , ? y luego ya me pierdo

así que por favor ayuda

Here are the Interrail passes for Great Britain. They’re all valid for one month, and you can choose how many days in that month you want to travel.

Reservations aren’t compulsory in the UK, except sleeper trains (Scotland-London, or London-Cornwall). You can make reservations if you want, at a ticket office or on the GWR website. They’re free.

Here’s a good guide to the pass (in English).

When you buy the pass, you’ll be given a code. You enter that code in the Rail Planner app, and enter your train journeys into the app.

    If you are just travelling inside the UK it is cheaper to use Britrail instead of Interrail (even one country passes), which has the added bonus of actually working on (most) British gatelines. Check out https://www.britrail.com/britrail-passes/.

    Britrail is just a pdf you download to your phone and/or print out, for journeyplanning you can use many apps, personally for the UK I use the National Rail app.

    So you just get an email with the pof or use the printed paper as your ticket. For journey planner you can use Rail Planner, but I'd recommend using National Rail.


    for non night trains there are no compulsory reservations, even though Rail Planner says there are. They are also free to make via LNER.co.uk for LNER trains, at ticket offices or via GWR.com or TPExpress.co.uk (I wrote a guide at

    Looking at the Britrail flexipass adult prices 2nd class on acprail.com, only the 3-day Britrail pass is cheaper than an Interrail/Eurail one country pass; for more travel days, Interrail/Eurail become cheaper.

    So it depends.

    Huh that changed then since July, as it was definitely cheaper for a 4d britrail verus interrail one country (both youth admittedly)

    No es la misma compañía.

    Interrail/ Eurail > Rail Planner (para el pase móvil) o pase en papel.

    Britrail > No necesitas aplicación para el pase móvil. O pase en papel.

    A ver si me entero ,

    Para Britrail ¿no necesito aplicación para el pase movil? , entonces una vez que compro el Britrail pass para pase movil ¿ que hay que hacer ? , me pueden decir los pasos a seguir, por favor , me refiero a que como se descarga en el movil y como se activa . una vez activado , ¿que hay que hacer , ir a la estacion y enseñar el pase y pedir un billete y te lo dan en papel?.

    Perdonarme , es que estoy totalmente perdido.

    Otra pregunta , es que:

    ¿puedo comprar 2 Britrail pass para el mismo movil?, Osea , uno para mi y otro para mi mujer.Lo digo porque mi mujer no entiende nada de moviles ,ni aplicaciones ni tecnologia, por lo cual seria mejor que yo pudiera tener los 2 pases en mi movil,

    En Cuanto al pase en papel ,¿ cuanto tiempo tardaria en llegar a España , mas o menos ?, alguien tiene idea ?

    This is a forum for Interrail & Eurail, so most of the posters here don’t have much experience with the Britrail Pass.
